The Green Leaf Grill: Exceptional Steaks, Seafood, and Vegan Delights in Waynesboro

My family was passing through Waynesborough on vacation, and we were blessed to be able to meet up with good friends at The Green Leaf Grill for an awesome dinner. Our server was excellent, and the food was amazing. Everyone in our party, kids and adults enjoyed every bite. The kitchen accommodated our low-carb dietary needs by subbing veggies for rice. The portion sizes were generous.

My family and I had such a wonderful dining experience here!! The service, the food, the atmosphere, the drinks, it was all absolutely fantastic! They had an exquisite steak and shrimp special that several members of our party ordered and greatly enjoyed! They were also extremely accommodating with more than one food allergy. One of our party had a seafood allergy and one had an onion and garlic allergy and our server was so kind and made sure to double check everything! They were extremely thorough and it made us feel very much at ease since there were several allergies to accommodate. I can not recommend this restaurant enough!

Finally found my spot in Waynesboro. Brought my wife and son and had a great time. The bread was great and the shrimp po boy was incredible. My son had the smoked pork prime rib and it melted in your mouth. Can wait to go back and try more.

Our server Brittany was fantastic!! She was everything you want a server to be….. patient, informative, and caring. After we explained it was our first there , she took the time we needed to make the best choices on the menu. Her suggestions were spot on however the portions were huge and I could not eat the whole plate. Delicious as they were.!!!!! The atmosphere was great and live music made it even better. I will suggest this restaurant to anyone in the area. Shout out to the staff at Best Western in Waynesboro for suggesting this delicious restaurant.

Holy cow, what a find. This is going to be our favorite place to go in Waynesboro and a far radius beyond. The fried oysters were big, juicy, and very delicious. The sauce that came with them was the perfect compliment. The wilted spinach was the best I've ever had, very fresh, cooked to perfection and had a great garlic flavor. The shrimp and grits were the best I've had as well. A multitude of delicious flavors and big perfectly cooked shrimp. The grits could have been a little warmer but there was no way were letting go of the dish once we tasted. I can't remember our server's name but she was great. She had a very friendly smile and checked on us often. The atmosphere of this place is wonderful as well. It has a historic feel and is laid out and decorated very nicely. It was all topped off with some great live music - not too loud and the perfect selection of songs for our taste. We can't wait to go back!

Why are you reading this? You should be at The Green Leaf Grill! Visiting from out of town and found this gem downtown. Expectations exceeded. I had the Pan Seared Duck Breast with mashed potatoes and sautéed green beans. Exceptional! Great service and great vibe. Live music was tasteful and not overbearing, loud enough to hear over restaurant chatter but not so loud you couldn't have a conversation. Prices were reasonable to boot! Bravo, Mr. Leaf!

What a lovely place! we were greeted at the door quickly, and although they were busy, they were quick to clean a table for us right by the window, where we had hoped to be. We were greeted at the table by whom I think may have been the manager, and quickly we were on our way with delicious decisions to make. There seem to be an issue in the kitchen, but our food was still very timely. We only knew that was the case because it was communicated to the table next to ours. Don’t think ours was affected by any issue and if it was, it was seamless. Our dinner salads were appropriately portioned, and very fresh tasting The food was delicious. We had the gumbo meal and the pork ribeye. There was plenty left over for lunch the following day. This restaurant is suitable for families and date nights for couples as well.

Multiple people asked the wait staff what I was eating because it smelled so good. Coconut curry shrimp with cashews. On top of jasmine rice, it tasted better than it smelled. Coupled with a really nice house made Caesar salad the whole meal was surprising and delicious. The place is charming and the staff all seemed willing to engage everyone with whom they came into contact. Fair Warning, I went at 4:30 on a stray Tuesday afternoon. By 5:30, place was packed!
